It was a quickie meeting, over by 7:45. All items on the agenda were carried. A couple of points worth noting:

1) Mayor McGarvey has been appointed to the Railway Safety Committee of AMO (Association of Municipalities of Ontario). The committee has been tasked with providing recommendations to improve rail safety in Ontario communities.

2) Parry Sound has agreed to donate $1,000 to the flood relief fund for the Bancroft area.

A deputation regarding the relocation of the anchors from the Atlantic and the Seattle was well received and a report and recommendation is expected to be on the agenda for the next meeting of Council.
